MIRACLES: TRUTH VS DECEPTION
INTRODUCTION
Healing and miracles have always attracted attention. From Egypt to the ministry of Yahshua and into the last days, Scripture shows that miracles can either reveal the power of the Almighty Heavenly Father or become tools of deception. Not every miracle is divine. The Word of Elohim calls believers to discernment, not excitement.
1. MIRACLES ORIGINATE FROM THE ALMIGHTY HEAVENLY FATHER
True healing and genuine miracles flow from the Almighty Heavenly Father alone. In Scripture, miracles are never for show, fame, or profit. They reveal His authority, confirm His Word, and call people to repentance and obedience (Exodus 7:5; Psalm 77:14; Deuteronomy 4:34–35).
2. MIRACLES THROUGH MOSES AND AARON
The Almighty Heavenly Father displayed His power through Moses and Aaron before Pharaoh. Aaron’s rod became a serpent. Water turned to blood. Plagues followed one after another. These miracles judged false gods and delivered Israel (Exodus 7:8–12; 7:19–20; Exodus chapters 8–12).
3. FALSE POWER OF THE EGYPTIAN SORCERERS
The Egyptian magicians imitated some signs through secret arts. However, their power was limited and inferior. Counterfeit miracles may resemble the true but cannot sustain authority (Exodus 7:11–12; 7:22; 8:7).
4. SUPREMACY OF DIVINE POWER
When Aaron’s rod swallowed the rods of the magicians, it became clear that the power of the Almighty Heavenly Father always triumphs over deception and sorcery (Exodus 7:12; Isaiah 47:12–14).
5. SAUL AND THE WOMAN WITH A FAMILIAR SPIRIT
Saul had earlier proscribed all sorcerers and those with familiar spirits in Israel. After his fall from grace and loss of divine guidance, he sought counsel from a woman with a familiar spirit at Endor. This rebellion led to judgment and death, showing the danger of turning to occult power after rejecting truth (1 Samuel 28:3–14; Leviticus 19:31; 1 Chronicles 10:13–14; Deuteronomy 18:10–12).
6. YAHSHUA’S MIRACLES WERE REAL
The healings and miracles of Yahshua were genuine, complete, and undeniable. The blind saw, the lame walked, lepers were cleansed, the deaf heard, and the dead were raised. None were staged. None were partial. Even His enemies could not deny the works (Matthew 11:4–5; John 9:1–7; Luke 5:24–26; John 11:43–45).
7. EXAMPLES OF HIS MIRACLES
Paralytics walked instantly, blind eyes opened fully, storms obeyed His voice, and death surrendered its captives. These miracles glorified the Almighty Heavenly Father and confirmed salvation truth (Mark 2:1–12; Mark 4:35–41; Luke 7:14–16).
8. THE MAN BORN BLIND AND THE UNDENIABLE TESTIMONY
Yahshua healed a man who had been blind from birth. The miracle caused great uproar. His parents were questioned but referred the matter to him since he was of age. The religious leaders pressured him to denounce Yahshua as a sinful man. His response remains timeless. Whether He was sinful or not, one thing he knew. He was blind, but now he saw. The miracle spoke for itself even when truth was resisted (John 9:1–34).
9. MIRACLES DONE WITHOUT PUBLICITY
On several occasions, after healing the sick, Yahshua commanded them not to publicize the miracle. The cleansed leper was told to tell no one. The healed blind men were strictly warned to remain silent. After raising Jairus’ daughter, He instructed that no one should know it. This reveals that true miracles do not seek applause or promotion (Matthew 8:1–4; Matthew 9:27–30; Mark 5:35–43; Mark 7:36).
10. NO THIRD PARTY VERIFICATION OF MIRACLES
Yahshua did not require professionals, physicians, relatives, or officials to verify His miracles. The healed were not paraded for validation. They were not coached to testify. The miracles stood on their own. Sight restored, strength renewed, life returned. Truth did not need marketing. Power did not need confirmation (John 4:46–53; John 5:8–9; Luke 13:12–13).
11. THE RAISING OF LAZARUS AND ITS CONSEQUENCES
The raising of Lazarus was the most public miracle Yahshua performed and led directly to the plot against Him. Lazarus, well known in Bethany, had died, and mourners gathered at his home. Martha met Yahshua, expressing faith and grief, and Mary wept at His feet. On the fourth day, Yahshua called Lazarus out of the tomb, and he walked alive before many witnesses, causing many to believe. Six days before the Passover, Mary anointed Yahshua with expensive perfume worth 300 pieces of silver, angering Judas Iscariot, who went to the religious leaders and agreed to betray Yahshua for thirty pieces of silver, a tenth of the perfume’s value. True miracles reveal divine power, inspire faith, and expose the hearts of men (John 11:1–53; John 12:1–11).
12. PROMISE OF GREATER WORKS
Yahshua promised that those who believe would do greater works, not in spectacle, but in reach and impact as the Gospel spread through the power of the Holy Spirit (John 14:12; Mark 16:17–20).
13. REAL MIRACLES BY THE APOSTLES
The apostles performed genuine miracles through the power of the Holy Spirit. The lame walked, the sick were healed, and the dead were raised. People were healed even by handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched Paul, and many were healed as Peter’s shadow fell on them. Paul also raised a young man named Eutychus from the dead. These signs confirmed the Gospel and glorified Elohim, not men (Acts 3:1–10; Acts 5:12–16; Acts 19:11–12; Acts 20:9–12).
14. AN ADULTEROUS GENERATION SEEKING SIGNS AND WONDERS
Yahshua described a generation that demands signs while rejecting truth as adulterous. Such people ignore the written Word and pursue miracles instead of repentance and obedience. This spiritual adultery leads many into deception (Matthew 12:38–39; Luke 16:29–31).
15. IS THE BEAST GOING TO USE SIGNS AND WONDERS?
Yes. The beast will use signs and miracles to compel worship and force people to receive the mark of the beast. These signs will appear powerful but will serve rebellion against the Almighty Heavenly Father (Revelation 13:15–17).
16. THE MAN OF SIN AND LYING WONDERS
The man of sin will come with all power, signs, and lying wonders to deceive those who reject the love of the truth (2 Thessalonians 2:9–10; Matthew 24:24).
17. FALSE MIRACLES IN THE LAST DAYS
Many signs in the last days will be counterfeit. Some will be staged. Others will be empowered by familiar spirits and dark forces. These wonders do not produce repentance or holiness (Matthew 7:22–23; Acts 8:9–11; 1 John 4:1).
18. THE SIGN OF JONAH
The only sign Yahshua emphasized was His death and resurrection. This sign calls people to repentance and faith rather than fascination with wonders (Matthew 12:39–41; Luke 11:29–30).
19. LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT MY SISTER AND FALSE HEALING SESSIONS
A personal example highlights this danger. I once gave my sister a metallic walking stick to help her walk because of a leg problem. Later, she attended a fake healing session, by a well known preacher in Kenya (name withheld) where she was told she had been healed. She left the walking stick behind, yet she was still limping. To cover up the deception, she was told she now had to learn to walk like a baby. Almost ten years later, her leg is far worse, yet she still believes in the same false miracle. This clearly shows how easily people can be misled by false wonders, false signs, false miracles, and false healings. Kindly share such false healings of people you know in the comments section.
20. SORCERERS WILL NOT ENTER THE KINGDOM
Scripture is clear that sorcerers and those who practice deception will not inherit the eternal Kingdom. False power leads to eternal loss. Those preachers who get their sorcery from Nigeria and other places, your place is waiting for you in the lake of fire. (Revelation 21:8; Revelation 22:15; Galatians 5:19–21).
22. THE PROPHET WHO PRESUMES TO SPEAK IN THE LORD’S NAME
A prophet who presumes to speak in the name of the Lord without being sent deceives the people and brings judgment upon themselves. Such false prophecy is not from Elohim and carries severe consequences. Scripture warns that anyone who delivers a message claiming it is from the Lord, when it is not, will be put to death or punished, and the people are commanded to test every prophecy against the Word of Elohim. False prophets cause confusion, lead many astray, and face the Almighty Heavenly Father’s wrath (Deuteronomy 18:20–22; Jeremiah 23:21–32; 1 Kings 18:36–40).
23. THE PROPHET WHOSE PROPHECY DOES NOT COME TO PASS
Sometimes a prophet may declare that something will happen in the name of the Lord, and it does not occur. Scripture teaches that such a prophet is not to be feared or revered, for the truth of Elohim cannot fail. The failure of a prophecy reveals that the person was not sent by the Almighty Heavenly Father and serves as a warning to the people to remain steadfast in the Word rather than in human words (Deuteronomy 18:21–22). True believers test every prophecy by Scripture and are not shaken when false predictions do not come to pass.
24. THE TRUE GOSPEL BALANCE
The Gospel does not deny miracles, but it subjects them to truth, repentance, obedience, and holiness. True miracles glorify the Almighty Heavenly Father and produce righteousness (Mark 16:20; Hebrews 2:3–4; John 14:15).
CONCLUSION
True miracles and genuine prophecy draw people to the Almighty Heavenly Father, confirm His Word, and inspire holy living. Counterfeit miracles, false signs, and presumptuous prophecies draw attention to men, mislead multitudes, and prepare the world for deception. In these last days, believers must carefully test every sign and every word by Scripture, hold fast to the truth, and walk in obedience, discerning what comes from Elohim and what comes from human or spiritual deception.

Uponyaji na miujiza imekuwa ikivutia kila wakati. Kutoka Misri hadi huduma ya Messiah na katika siku za mwisho, Maandiko yanaonyesha kwamba miujiza inaweza kufunua nguvu za Mzalishaji wa Mbingu au kutumika kwa udanganyifu. Siyo kila muujiza ni wa kiungu. Neno la Elohim linawaalika waumini kutofautisha kweli na udanganyifu, si furaha tu.
1. MIUJIZA INATOKA MUUMBA
Uponyaji halisi na miujiza ya kweli hutoka kwa Muumba wa Mbingu peke yake. Haifanywi kwa kujionyesha, sifa, au faida. Inaonyesha mamlaka yake, kuthibitisha Neno lake, na kuita watu kutubu na kutii (Kutoka 7:5; Zaburi 77:14; Kumbukumbu la Torati 4:34–35).
2. MIUJIZA KUPITIA MUSA NA HARUNI
Muumba wa Mbingu aliaonyesha nguvu Zake kupitia Musa na Haruni mbele ya Farao. Fimbo ya Haruni ikawa nyoka. Maji yakawa damu. Majanga yakafuata mfululizo. Miujiza hii ilikomesha miungu ya uongo na kuokoa Israeli (Kutoka 7:8–12; 7:19–20; Kutoka sura 8–12).
3. NGUVU ZA UDANGANYIFU ZA WA MISRI
Wachawi na waganga wa Misri walijaribu kuiga baadhi ya ishara kwa uchawi. Hata hivyo, nguvu zao zilikuwa ndogo na chini ya kiwango. Miujiza bandia inaweza kuonekana sawa lakini haiwezi kudumu (Kutoka 7:11–12; 7:22; 8:7).
4. UPEKELE WA NGUVU ZA KIUNGU
Fimbo ya Haruni ilikula fimbo za wachawi, ikafichua kwamba nguvu za Muumba wa Mbingu daima hushinda udanganyifu (Kutoka 7:12; Isaya 47:12–14).
5. SAULI NA MWANAMKE WA ROHO YA UTAMBUZI
Sauli alikataza watumishi wa uchawi na wale wenye roho za utambuzi. Baada ya kuanguka kwake, alitafuta ushauri kutoka kwa mwanamke mwenye roho ya utambuzi. Uasi huu ulileta hukumu na kifo, na kuonyesha hatari ya kutegemea nguvu za uchawi baada ya kukataa ukweli (1 Samweli 28:3–14; Levitiko 19:31; 1 Mithali 10:13–14; Kumbukumbu la Torati 18:10–12).
6. MIUJIZA YA MASIHI ILIKUWA HALISI
Uponyaji na miujiza ya Masihi ilikuwa ya kweli, kamili, na isiyopingika. Vipofu waliiona, wagonjwa walitembea, wenye ukoma walisafishwa, masikio yalisikia, wafu walifufuliwa. Hakuna miujiza ya uongo ama miujiza ya kuigiza. Hata maadui wake hawakuweza kupinga kazi Zake Masihi (Mathayo 11:4–5; Yohana 9:1–7; Luka 5:24–26; Yohana 11:43–45).
7. MIFANO YA MIUJIZA YAKE
Wagonjwa walitembea mara moja, macho ya vipofu yaliwazama, dhoruba zilitii sauti yake, na wafu kufufuliwa. Miujiza hii ilimwabudu Muumba wa Mbingu na kuthibitisha wokovu (Marko 2:1–12; Marko 4:35–41; Luka 7:14–16).
8. MWANAUME ALIYEZALIWA KIPOFU NA USHAHIDI USIOPINGIKA
Masihi alimponya mwanaume aliyekuwa kipofu tangu kuzaliwa. Wazazi wake walihojiwa lakini wakamuelekeza yeye, kwa kuwa alikuwa mzima wa umri. Viongozi wa dini walijaribu kumlazimisha kudanganya Masihi kuwa ni mtenda dhambi. Jibu lake linabaki la kudumu: “Nilikuwa kipofu, lakini sasa naona.” Muujiza huo ulionyesha ukweli hata pale uipopingwa (Yohana 9:1–34).
9. MIUJIZA ILIYOFANYWA BILA KUTANGAZWA
Masihi mara nyingi aliwaagiza walioponywa wasitangaze muujiza huo. Mwenye ukoma aliyesafishwa aliiambiwa asimwambie mtu yeyote. Mtu aliyeponywa upofu wake aliwaonywa kukaa kimya. Baada ya kumfufua binti ya Jairu, aliamuru siri ihifadhiwe. Miujiza halisi haina haja ya kutafuta sifa au kutangazwa (Mathayo 8:1–4; Mathayo 9:27–30; Marko 5:35–43; Marko 7:36).
10. MIUJIZA YA KWELI HAINA HAJA YA KUTHIBITISHWA HADHALANI
Masihi hakuhitaji daktari, jamaa au viongozi kuthibitisha miujiza yake. Walioponywa hawakuonyeshwa au kufundishwa kushuhudia. Miujiza ilijithitisha yenyewe. Macho yakarudi kuona, nguvu zikapewa upya, wafu wakafufuliwa. Ukweli hauhitaji tangazo. Nguvu haihitaji uthibitisho (Yohana 4:46–53; Yohana 5:8–9; Luka 13:12–13).
11. KUFUFULIWA KWA LAZARO NA MATOKEO YAKE
Kufufuliwa kwa Lazarus kulikuwa muujiza wa hadharani zaidi Masihi alioufanya na kuelekeza moja kwa moja kwa Kifo Chake. Lazaro, aliyejulikana Bethania, alikuwa amekufa, na waombolezaji walikusanyika. Martha alikutana na Masihi akiwa na imani na huzuni, na Mariamu alilia miguuni mwake. Siku ya nne, Messiah aliita Lazaro kutoka kaburini. Alitembea hai mbele ya mashahidi wengi, na wengi wakaamini. Siku sita kabla ya Pasaka, Mariamu alimpaka Masihi manukato ghali, jambo lililochochea hasira ya Yuda Iskarioti aliyeenda kwa viongozi wa dini na kumsaliti Messiah kwa sarafu thelathini za fedha. Miujiza halisi inaonyesha nguvu za kiungu, kuhamasisha imani, na kufichua mioyo (Yohana 11:1–53; Yohana 12:1–11).
12. AHADI YA KAZI KUBWA ZAIDI
Masihi aliwahakikishia waumini kwamba watakuwa na uwezo wa kufanya kazi kubwa zaidi kuliko Zake. Na si kwa tamasha, bali kwa kufikia wengi na kueneza Injili kwa nguvu ya Roho Mtakatifu (Yohana 14:12; Marko 16:17–20).
13. MIUJIZA HALISI YA MITUME
Mitume walifanya miujiza halisi kwa nguvu za Roho Mtakatifu. Wagonjwa waliponywa, wafu walifufuliwa. Paulo aliinua kijana Eutychus kutoka kwa wafu. Ishara hizi zilithibitisha Injili na kuonyesha utukufu kwa Elohim, si kwa wanadamu (Matendo 3:1–10; Matendo 5:12–16; Matendo 19:11–12; Matendo 20:9–12).
14. KIZAZI HIKI CHA ZINAA KUTAFUTA ISHARA
Masihi aliezea kuwa kizazi hiki kinacho tafuta ishara na miujiza kuwa ni kizazi cha zinaa. Watu hawa wanapuuza Maandiko Matakatifu na kufuatilia miujiza pasipo kufuatilia toba na kutii. Zinaa hii ya kiroho inaelekeza wengi katika upotevuni (Mathayo 12:38–39; Luka 16:29–31).
15. JE MNYAMA WA KITABU CHA UFUNUO ATATUMIA ISHARA NA MAAJABU ILI KUHADAA ULIMWENGU WOTE?
Ndiyo. Mnyama atatumia ishara na maajabu kuwahadaa na kuwashutisha wakaao wa nchi kuabudu sanamu yake na kupokea chapa yake kwa mkono na kibaji cha uso. Na watakuwa kinyume cha Baba Wa Mbinguni. (Ufunuo 13:15–17).
16. YULE MPINGA MASIHI, MWANA WA KUASI ATATUMIA MIUJIZA YA UDANGANYIFU
Yule ask, mpinga Masihi, atakuja na nguvu zote, ishara, na miujiza ya udanganyifu kuwadanganya wale wanaokataa upendo wa ukweli (2 Wathesalonike 2:9–10; Mathayo 24:24).
17. MIUJIZA YA UDANGANYIFU SIKU ZA MWISHO
Ishara nyingi katika siku za mwisho zitakuwa bandia, za kutungwa, au zikiwa na nguvu za roho za ufumbuzi. Hazitaleta toba au utakatifu (Mathayo 7:22–23; Matendo 8:9–11; 1 Yohana 4:1).
18. ISHARA YA YONA
Ishara pekee Messiah aliyoisisitiza ni kifo chake na ufufuo wake. Kama vile Yona alikaa tumboni mwa samaki siku tatu mchana na usiku, vivyo hivyo Mwokozi angekaa kaburini, siku tatu, mchana na usiku kabla ya kufufuka kwake. Ishara hii inawaita watu kutubu na kuwa na imani, si kushangaza na miujiza (Mathayo 12:39–41; Luka 11:29–30).
19. NITAKUSIMULIA KUHUSU DADA YANGU NA KIKUNDI CHA UPONYAJI WA UONGO
Nilimpa dada yangu fimbo ya kutembea kutokana na tatizo la mguu. Baadaye, alihudhuria kikao cha uponyaji cha udanganyifu ambapo aliiambiwa amepona. Akaacha fimbo huko lakini bado hakuwa amepona. Baada ya miaka kumi, mguu wake bado waelekea mbaya zaidi. Na la kuhuzunisha zaidi ni kuwa dada yangu bado ako huko anashiriki huko bado! Hii inaonyesha jinsi watu wanavyoweza kudanganywa na miujiza bandia. Patiana mfano kama huo kwa sehemu ya comments.
20. WATUMIAJI WA UCHAWI HAWATAINGIA UFALME
Watumiaji wa uchawi na wakudanganyifu hawataurithi Ufalme wa milele. Viongozi wengi wa makanisa mengi wanatumia nguvu za Giza, ushirikina na nguvu mbaya kutoka Nigeria na kwingineko. Moto wa milele wawangoja ninyi.(Ufunuo 21:8; Ufunuo 22:15; Wagalatia 5:19–21).
21. NABII WA UONGO WAONAJIFANYA WAMETUMWA NA BWANA
Manabii wanaopoteza watu kwa kutoa unabii ambao Bwana hajawatuma hujiletea hukumu kwao wenyewe. Waumini lazima wachunguze unabii wote kwa Maandiko (Kumbukumbu la Torati 18:20–22; Yeremia 23:21–32; 1 Wafalme 18:36–40).
22. MNABII AMBAYE UNABII WAKE HAUJATIMIZA
Iwapo nabii atatangaza jambo kwa jina la Bwana na jambo lile likosa kutimia, ni muongo. Waumini wa kweli wanasimama imara katika Maandiko (Kumbukumbu la Torati 18:21–22).
23. USAWA WA INJILI HALISI
Injili haikatai uponyaji au miujiza, bali iwe katika ukweli, toba, utiifu, na utakatifu. Miujiza halisi inaonyesha utukufu kwa Elohim (Marko 16:20; Wahibrania 2:3–4; Yohana 14:15).
HITIMISHO
Uponyaji na miujiza halisi, pamoja na unabii wa kweli, huvutia watu kwa Baba Wa Mbinguni, kuthibitisha Neno lake, na kuhamasisha maisha matakatifu. Miujiza bandia, ishara zisizo za kweli, na unabii wa ubinafsi huvutia wanadamu, kuwapotosha wengi, na kuandaa dunia kwa udanganyifu. Katika siku za mwisho, waumini lazima wapime kila ishara na kila neno kwa Maandiko, washikilie ukweli, na watembelee katika utiifu.
